Hearty Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 4 lb Beef Pot Roast, raw
  • 2 tbls Corn Oil
  • 3/4 cup Onions
  • 2 tsp Table Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 leaf Bay Leaf
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbls Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, bleached

Directions

  1. Place the meat and oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Cover and brown over medium heat, turning to brown on all sides.
  2. Add onions and continue browning. Add seasonings and water. Cover and cook over low heat for 2 hours, or until meat is tender.
  3. Mix flour with a little water and stir into the gravy. Cook 10 minutes longer. Remove bay leaf before serving.
  4. Suggested to serve with potatoes.
